About me

A photo of myself. I am a white woman in my late 30s, with shoulder-length blonde hair with pink streaks dyed through it, wearing glasses.

My name is Laura Woods. I am a part-time PhD researcher with the Information School at the University of Sheffield. You can find out more about my research interests on the “about the research” page of this website.

I am also an academic librarian at the University of Huddersfield. I’ve been working as a librarian in various sectors since 2007, and qualified with an MSc in Library and Information Science from City University, London in 2009. I have been at the University of Huddersfield since 2014. My role is Subject Librarian for the School of Computing and Engineering.

This website is a space for me to share my PhD reflections, publications, and the progress of my research. I would be delighted to hear from anyone with an interest in my research! You can find me online at the links below. My email address can be found on my University of Sheffield profile page.
